ROUND: exhibition of glass at the Albu manor July 11 to july 29, 2007
The exhibition ROUND comprises the latest works of Estonian glass artists.
The Albu manor, originally built in the 18th century, was renovated in 1995-2000. The spacious exhibition area includes several rooms and, as frequently characteristic of manor houses, one can proceed from one room to another through double doors all around the building.
It is a perfect milieu to perceive the eternal motion. Here, some of the best works of Estonian glass, created during the latest years, just happen to be temporarily included in this motion.
Some of them were exhibited at the beginning of year 2007 at the exhibition “Estonian glass 70: the best of ten years” at the Estonian Applied Arts and Design Museum in Tallinn, making a new round, so to say, at Albu. Many of the works are, nevertheless, different, and some have been recently created.
Glass is making ROUNDS in Estonia and this time inviting You into the magic light of the Albu manor.
28 artists with nearly 60 works are represented. Curators and designers of the exhibition are Kati Kerstna, Virve Kiil and Kairi Orgusaar.
