leaders\/ glass industry leaders, pioneers and glass gurus.<br \/>\nGPD Finland 2015\u00a0was held from\u00a024 June to 26\u00a0June\u00a02015 in Tampere. The conference, exhibition and workshops brought together industry leaders and glass technology experts for three days\u00a0for discussions, debates and networking.<br \/>\nThis year, world famous architect firms as SOM, BIG,\u00a0Eckersley O`Callaghan and other superstar firms took part. At the conference presentations were made by superstar architects as\u00a0Keith Boswell, Kai -Uwe Bergmann, James O`Callaghan, Rainer Mahlam\u00e4ki and others.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Meeli Koiva aka Mery Crystal Ra\u00a0expressed at her presentation how\u00a0the idea\u00a0of an artist can change environment and space, both in buildings and in urban space in general.\u00a0Our\u00a0changing urban environment and architectural spaces\u00a0are expecting new approaches, innovative communication and surprises.\u00a0GPD creator and director Jorma Vitkala has said that\u00a0Meeli\u00a0K\u00f5iva is one of the few artists in the world who has skillfully\u00a0clued together\u00a0the handwriting of the artist with the most modern\u00a0unique innovative glass, lighting and video technologies.<\/p>\n<p>Internationally recognized glass artist\u00a0 K\u00f5iva spoke on the\u00a026th of June session \u00a0about Glass in the interior. Her speech was titled:\u00a0&#8220;Interior as a fun playground communicating art through synergy of light, glass, video, digital printings and luminescent inspiration. She<\/p>\n<p>introduced her radical artist&#8217;s practice, talked about her unique international\u00a0 light-glass projects and\u00a0presented her\u00a0innovative glass paintings, glass-light sculptures and videos.<br \/>\nForum focuses on innovation in the world of glass, for the future design and architecture.\u00a0The international forum will be held in Finland for a glass of 15 times, and\u00a0has conferences also\u00a0in China, South America and India.<\/p>\n<p>The conference was attended by many of the world&#8217;s top architects, engineers,\u00a0designers, academics and decision-makers in the world of glass, in order to listen to the presentations, discussion and debate.\u00a0Not only glass, but also, for example, environmental sustainability and\u00a0solar issues\u00a0&#8211; things that are directly related to the glass. At the\u00a0glass forum were also represented Dow Corning, Saint Gobain Glass, Ove Arup and Partners, Schott AG, Pilkington, Emirates Glass, Glaston Corporation,\u00a0and others.<\/p>\n<p>The Glass Performance\u00a0conference\u00a0 organized also Glass Innovation Institute training sessions and workshops from\u00a0June 22-24\u00a0in Helsinki.
